Slender PSP is a remake of the hit PC indie game, Slender. Slender PSP has not much story, mainly simple, all you must do is collect 8 pages before Slenderman finds you! With only a flashlight! will you survive?
You can choose from 4 different maps, each map will have 8 pages you’ll have to search. After each page, the difficulty increases, and Slenderman will show up.
When the project was announced on October 2nd 2012, there were plans of making a cross-console release, with an Android, iOS and PSP release. Since there were already pretty decent Android and iOS remakes of Slender, there was no need for another one, and fully focus was on the PSP version.
The first version Slender PSP-AN (known as Slender Portable 1.0.0), later renamed to Slender PSP Alpha 1, was released to show that the project has begun its development. As the summary clearly showed that it didn’t have gameplay, but was more of an information application, some fans started to getting bigger expectations.
When Slender Portable 1.0.1 was released (later renamed Slender PSP Alpha 2) some weeks later, people still were expecting gameplay for this Homebrew “game.” So development was fully focused on gameplay, as some speculated it would be 2D, and other thought of it to be 3D, but no official statement was made, as of development was put on a hold, till late 2013.
The first playable version was the Beta version (not released, only gameplay shown), which lacked a lot of features, and featured the map CAMPGROUND and the main menu, which didn’t look like the menu that was shown in the official release 1.00
Version information
You can choose from 4 different maps, each map will have 8 pages you’ll have to search. After each page, the difficulty increases, and Slenderman will show up.
You’ll have the scariest experience when playing with headphones in the dark unless you’re scared. Your flashlight will guide you through the darkest maps, and hopefully, it will guide you through the game.
We recommend people with a heart condition not to play it to avoid any kind of problems. But the most important reason for playing this game is not to get scared, but have fun with it…
